Country Bumpkin History

Over 20 years ago in the rural town of Keith in the south-east of South Australia, we began life as a humble mail order catalogue, focusing on the beautiful art of smocking. Over the years we have grown into a company that produces two world-class embroidery magazines as well as magnificent specialist books. We host international embroidery conventions, manufacture our own label of exquisite baby clothes, have a mail order service second to none and an amazing retail store that has become a tourist attraction for interstate and overseas visitors.

We are very proud that we can offer a range of exciting new titles which offer a mix of quality, beauty, creativity and innovation for all needle workers. Country Bumpkin’s books and magazines are renowned worldwide for their outstanding world class photography, full size pattern sheets and step-by-step colour photographs and instructions.
