Preparation and Pleating (pg 28)
Front
Neaten the upper raw edge with a machine zigzag or overlock stitch. Fold under 5mm (1/4"), press and machine stitch 3mm (1/8") from the folded edge.
Fold under 6.5cm (2 1/2") and press. Tack in place 5.5cm (2 1/8") from the folded edge.

1. Blocking and shaping the smocking (sheet 2 side 1)
Place the front pattern piece over the smocking with the upper folded edge aligned with the upper seamline.

Pattern Piece (piece A on sheet 3 side 2)
Size 8 is the correct length.
Size 10 - cut to the size 12 lower cutting line.
Size 12 - add 9cm in length to the size 12 lower cutting line.
