I was searching recently through back issues for new ideas and was amazed when I realised how many projects I have completed - of course having the freedom to often be able to embroider 8 hours a day helps - the extreme heat and humidity is a bit of a drawback, especially working with silk -

| As an Australian living in Germany, I am heavily reliant on ordering essential items (esp. hobby items) from overseas, and therefore regularly visit a host of websites worldwide. Without a shadow of a doubt, the best website (and staff!) I have encountered so far is that of Country Bumpkin. As though the cornucopia of craft goodies wasn’t alluring enough on its own, the absolutely reasonable prices, the extra-tempting special offers and the peerless service from the CB staff mean that Resistance is Useless! | As a relatively new comer to the Country Bumpkin world and also smocking, I cannot sing your praises highly enough. Recently relocated from the U.K. to Turkey and eagerly await every parcel from Oz - the speed of the service is amazing. | I've been eying the books A-Z of Smocking and A-Z of Sewing for Smockers. My sister-in-law introduced me to smocking last Sept. I looked at what she was paying for those dresses and thought I could make them for 1/2 of that. I was right!
I'm still new to smocking and have only done 6 or 8 different geometric designs since then. I was a bit hesitant to try picture smocking, but decided to just jump in! Then my husband got me the A-Z of Smocking for Christmas. picture smocking is on hold while i design custom plates for my kids. I am completely addicted! My husband just laughs. He says he's just grateful to know I'm at home saving him money not out with the girls shopping. Unless, of course, I'm shopping at the fabric store!

I have wanted to order the A-Z Quilting book for so long and it was going to be my Christmas treat. I was about to purchase it using a UK supplier and on the off chance I surfed your site and saw the sale (Eureka!), even with the postage I could afford and justify purchasing not one but 3 of the books I have always wanted. I got 3 for the UK price of 2, what a treat for the eye and the pocket thank you, thank you. thank you. The books are lovely and I will savour them in bed as a Sunday morning treat. I am thinking of getting the beading book and then I will have my set and cover my loves....until the next series
Please continue the good work I have bought Inspiration from the very beginning and have kept every copy they are just so beautiful to look. I admit I have not made a single project from the magazines (due to the deterioration in my sight I now do quilting and machine embroidery) but the projects and the magazine themselves have literally inspired me or been the basis of my own creative projects and personal development.
Usually when a new publication hits the shelves I will purchase it regularly but find after the first year I will find myself purchasing specific issues, off the shelf. Inspiration is the only magazine I have had a regular order for, purchase every copy, keep and use as a source material (especially now with the internet as an alternative) and I am in my 40's so we are talking some years here
You have maintained the balance between novice and expert so that everyone can enjoy the magazine at whatever level they are, even a couch-embroiderer as myself. For me personally it is the layout but the photography is excellent, the colour and detail are there and I do not have to do too much reading.
There is not a magazine to touch you.

| CB kits are the greatest things to have in the house for an unexpect trip! I can pick up the kit and know that I'll have everything I need to work on the project (except scissors!).
