Continuing the ‘Sew Pretty’ series by Tone Finnanger is the gorgeously presented ‘Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle’, with more than 35 festive projects for various rooms in the home. Many of the featured items will make perfect Christmas gifts, but could also be easily adapted for birthday or house warming presents for children or adults. 

There are many delightful projects, from quirky menus and place cards for the dining room, to useful coasters and tea towels in the kitchen. Alternatively, one may create cosy felt slippers for the bedroom and pretty cushions for the living room. Some of the projects are simply fun and decorative, while others are more practical and functional, such as the cloth bags and purses, or the cards and packaging for gifts. And of course there are the very traditional Christmas items, including stockings, a gorgeous advent calendar and irresistible tree decorations.

In keeping with her first title, the author has selected a dominant colour palette for projects and styling. In this title, Finnanger focuses on pink, red, chocolate and white, making for a very pretty publication that will appeal to many sewers.
