This wonderful book has been published for those frustrated quilters who like to embroider, and those embroiderers who are frustrated quilters. It absolutely meets the essential requirements for both genres. These quilts are simple to make, and the hand embroidery is exquisite, and just enough to show off the machine piecing.
A variety of skills levels are taken into consideration when writing this book. The publishers, Country Bumpkin Publications, the same people who bring you the world famous Inspirations magazine, have included a project for every skill level. There's the most amazing color wash quilt with hand embroidered butterflies, just as if they've come straight from the garden. There's a very simple By the Beach Quilt, that has simple piecing and very simple embroidery - of course in the most beautiful color ways that simply take your breath away. And for the true horticulturalists amongst us, a delightful trellis pieced quilt with true to color and shape embroidered bontanical specimens.
Most importantly, this publication is brimming with how to instructions and photographs and graphics. The Country Bumpkin team has gone to extreme lengths to make sure that each project is easy to understand ad complete. As always, any publication by the Country Bumpkin Publications is top of the class in presentation and quality.
This book is just lovely, and will satisfy the most demanding embroiderer and beginning stitcher alike.
