“If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful” William Morris 1834 - 1896

William Morris devotee and world renowned quilter, Michele Hill has designed a magnificent collection of projects, capturing the beauty of his designs in appliqué.

Made from more than 40 individual patterns, the 6 main projects are accompanied by clear and easy to follow instructions, coloured diagrams and over 250 step-by-step photographs. Full size templates are included on tear out pattern sheets.

For those new to appliqué and quilting, a chapter of essential basic start to finish step-by-step instructions are included.

This stunning book is both a useful companion to quilters and embroiderers of all skill levels and a feast for the eyes, taking you on a magical journey as you create unique handmade treasures for your home.

About the Author

Michele Hill lives in South Australia with her husband Larry and their two adult daughters Emily and Sophie. A part-time registered nurse, she continues practice to 'feed my obsession'.

Michele began her quilting journey in 1986 and has been addicted ever since. She started designing her own quilts in 1996 with William Morris and architecture being her greatest inspiration. Each of the appliqué patterns have a strong connection to one or more of Morris' original designs.

She teaches throughout Australia and is passionate about encouraging her students and fellow quilters to create original designs and share their passion for quilting with others.

An award winning quilter, Michele is a member of the Quilters Guild of South Australia Inc. She is currently involved in their annual exhibition and also promoting children's work – our future quilters.

Hi I have just purchased this book and can\'t wait to complete another project so I can start Morris Magic. I really love the colours used and the beautiful following lines in the designs, they give the quilt a beautiful rich and warm feeling just looking at them.
