This beautiful pincushion and needlecase set, Woodland Berries, originally from Inspirations issue 67 is designed by Barbara Jackson.
Stems of ripe red berries, creamy blossoms and fresh green leaves twine across the surface of this charming needlecase and strawberry shaped pincushion. Wool and silk threads, plus silk ribbon, are stitched onto cream evenweave linen and felted wool fabric is used to create the sepals on the pincushion. The needlecase opens to reveal a felted needle keep and scissor pocket.
The finished needlecase measures 10cm x 8cm wide (4" x 3 1/4") when closed.
The finished pincushion measures 11cm x 21cm in circumference (4 3/8" x 8 1/4") excluding the cord.
